My philosophy professor told us to pick the opposite side of the spectrum of our beliefs in order for us to learn more about the argument

but it is entirely difficult to get myself to not get pissed off about the opposition’s belief

one of the assignments has to do with legalizing/banning gay marriage (How the hell do I even SYMPATHIZE with the ignorance of banning gay marriage? I am going to explode when I read this article. My blood is already boiling thinking about it.)

I can see this is going to be an interesting class.
