Eh it’s just a little nuclear waste guys…you’re fine. Nowhere near the danger territory of nuclear waste that man has determined is inedible that we’ve introduced into the food chain. #headdesk

The levels were 10 times higher than those found in tuna in the same area in previous years, but still well below those that the Japanese and US governments consider a risk to health. Japan recently introduced a new safety limit of 100 becquerels per kilogram in food.

Europeans pay at least double what Americans do in gas prices. In some countries, gas prices are even more than that.

As hundreds of American families pack up their cars and head out on the road for the long Memorial Day weekend, many will grumble about gas prices. Though, prices are projected to be modestly lower than a year ago, the pain at the pump feels like a very American ailment.

It’s not as much of an issue, let alone a political talking point, across the pond as it is here. To Europeans, gas is viewed as more of a privilege than a right.

Military class suspended for its view on Islam

WASHINGTON (AP) — A course for U.S. military officers has been teaching that America’s enemy is Islam in general, not just terrorists, and suggesting that the country might ultimately have to obliterate the Islamic holy cities of Mecca and Medina without regard for civilian deaths, following World War II precedents of the nuclear attack on Hiroshima or the allied firebombing of Dresden.

The Pentagon suspended the course in late April when a student objected to the material. The FBI also changed some agent training last year after discovering that it, too, was critical of Islam.

The teaching in the military course was counter to repeated assertions by U.S. officials over the last decade that the U.S. is at war against Islamic extremists — not the religion.
